Facilitating best implementation of MGNREGS in Gangajalghati block

This is a new program undertaken by the Math in the year 2011-12.

The National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) 2005, enacted by the Government of India, guarantees hundred days of wage employment in a financial year to adult members of a rural household who demand employment and are willing to do unskilled manual work.  The Act seeks to enhance the livelihood security of people in rural areas by generating wage employment through works that develop the infrastructure base of that area.  The choice of works mentioned in the Act includes all components of land and water resource development that help in addressing causes of chronic poverty like drought, deforestation and soil erosion.
